| Bio: | For ?? 18 year old witch Personality Lily is generally outgoing and very friendly. She has been described as vivacious, and she's often armed with a laugh or a grin. Which isn't to say she's happy all the time - far from it. Like any teenage girl, she has her moods, her dark times, her sullen, sulky days. She prefers to be happy, of course, but that's hardly her call. She does have a temper, and can hold a grudge like nobody's business if it comes to that. The more hurt she is, the harder she'll hold onto the grudge. She does have a stubborn streak, and is (very) occasionally the epitome of Gryffindor recklessness. She does generally think things out first, but when backed into a corner, all bets are off. A smart girl, Lily doesn't often have trouble with her schoolwork. She's a fair hand with potions simply because she loves the work - and the fact she has a knack for it. She is the sort who prefers to have her work done and out of the way before she takes any time to play or have fun or indulge herself in her favorite activities. Lily is an open, honest, and caring person. She can't tell a lie to save her life, and she's fairly easy to read - her heart is on her sleeve and her eyes betray her emotions even when (or especially when) she's trying to hide them. Physical Description Lily stands 5’6” with dark red hair that falls midway down her back. Her eyes are emerald and almond shaped. Her skin is fair bordering on pale, dotted with freckles that are more prominent in the summer. She does not tan well – she freckles. She is slender without being willowy or too skinny. Her body is more straight than curved, though she is still distinctly female. While at school, her method of dress defaults to robes and her uniform. However, her summer or casual attire tends towards shorts or jeans or skirts with light blouses in colors that go well with her hair – emerald especially. She prefers bare feet when she can get away with it, and sandals or lighter shoes when she cannot. Family Background Lily is the second daughter of a middle-class family. She has an older sister, Petunia, who she used to adore and desire to appease. However, when Lily's friendship developed with Severus and she realized she was a witch, a rift developed between the girls. Petunia resented that Lily was 'more special' than she was, and she really didn't like Severus. Summers until her 5th year were spent with Severus, maintaining the friendship they started before school and held up throughout school. However, an incident in the spring of their fifth year drove a wedge between them, perhaps forever. She's not exactly in a rush to forgive him and his dark-art loving ways. While they were friends - best friends - Lily had begun to develop slightly more than friendship feelings for him until then. Perhaps that's why the word stung so much, and why her pride won't let her let go of that grudge. Lily has a solid relationship with her parents, and she loves them both very much. She is an independent sort, however, and she's eager to strike out on her own, to move away, to have and live her own life. While she hasn't completely given up on her sister, she has decided that Petunia can hold a grudge just as hard as she can and that they'll never be set to rights again. Social Life Lily has a fairly active social life. She has plenty of friends - or at least acquaintances she's friendly with. There aren't a lot of people she confides completely in - and no one is aware of exactly what she feels for Severus, or her real thoughts on James Potter. She's usually willing to go along with study groups or picnics by the lake or just about anything anyone who wants her company can come up with. She's always happy to lend an ear or advice to people who ask - and occasionally to people who don't. Dreams/Goals While she is aware of the war brewing and growing outside of the school, it hasn't yet impacted her life. She is still possessed of the grand dreams and goals any girl might have. She hasn't settled on a career path yet, though she's definitely toying with the idea of working in potions. Her primary goal is to simply live her life the way she wants, though even she isn't completely sure what she wants yet. There are definitely thoughts of marriage and children, though they're vague and faceless at this point.
