{Background} History:
Young Lily / Family Life
Lily was often described as a colorful child. She was always quick to smile, even at a stranger, ready to share anything she had with someone who wanted it, and she was incredibly resilient. Her parents let her learn her own lessons - if she was told the stove was hot and touched it anyway, she learned not to do it again after that. They didn't believe in coddling her, though she always knew she was loved.
When she was young, Lily adored her older sister. As they grew up though, they developed a very catty relationship toward one another. This was only increased when Lily received her letter to Hogwarts.
Petunia did not approve of Lily's friendship with the neighbor boy, Severus Snape. Snape was poor and dressed funny, and he was different like Lily was. But Lily was best friends with Severus, always quick to defend him and look after him when his father got a little heavy-handed.
School Years
She did well in her classes for the most part. She was extremely skilled with potions, wasn't too shabby with charms, but borderline rubbish with transfiguration. Coincidentally, it rubbed her all sorts of wrong ways that James Potter and his friends seemed to have no problem at all with it.
Lily was invited into Professor Slughorn's Slug Club, and was one of his favorite pupils despite her blood status. She was a brilliant witch, very talented and outgoing, never failing to give him a cheeky answer, and thus she was one of his 'jewels'.
Lily and Severus remained very close throughout school - despite being in different houses - until the end of their fifth year. During an incident when James and Sirius were taunting Severus, he made the mistake of calling Lily a Mudblood. Lily was hurt by that - more than she wanted to let on - and she turned her back on him that day. At times, she regrets it dearly, especially after seeing how much closer he became to his Death Eater friends after that incident.
Most of her sixth year was spent reestablishing who she was without Severus. She no longer had a best friend (though she had plenty of other friends), nor did she ever thing she'd find someone she connected to quite like she had with Severus. She became friends with a quieter, bookish boy, a fellow prefect, who happened to hang about with Potter's crowd. It was through Remus that she got to know James a bit better, and by her seventh year, she was willing to give him a chance.
Present Day
Lily is currently living in a flat in Diagon, working for the Order. Using her penchant for potions, she's generally found brewing up a storm or working on whatever bit of useful magic she can manage - as long as it isn't transfiguration.
Personality:
Lily is generally outgoing and very friendly. She has been described as vivacious, and she's often armed with a laugh or a grin. Which isn't to say she's happy all the time - far from it. Like any teenage girl, she has her moods, her dark times, her sullen, sulky days. She prefers to be happy, of course, but that's hardly her call.
She does have a temper, and can hold a grudge like nobody's business if it comes to that. The more hurt she is, the harder she'll hold onto the grudge. She does have a stubborn streak, and is (very) occasionally the epitome of Gryffindor recklessness. She does generally think things out first, but when backed into a corner, all bets are off.
A smart girl, Lily doesn't often have trouble with her schoolwork. She's a fair hand with potions simply because she loves the work - and the fact she has a knack for it. She is the sort who prefers to have her work done and out of the way before she takes any time to play or have fun or indulge herself in her favorite activities.
Lily is an open, honest, and caring person. She can't tell a lie to save her life, and she's fairly easy to read - her heart is on her sleeve and her eyes betray her emotions even when (or especially when) she's trying to hide them.
Likes:
Kittens, snow, Severus, James (mostly), potions, moonlit nights, running on the beach
Dislikes:
Excessive heat, Death Eaters, prejudices, Slytherins
{Other Info:}
She has a wand.

Goals/Dreams: Her primary goal is to simply live her life the way she wants, though even she isn't completely sure what she wants yet. There are definitely thoughts of marriage and children, though they're vague and faceless at this point. Talents or Hobbies: Potions! Reading, flying kites. Style of Dress: Usually robes, at least while at school, though when she dresses in her Muggle attire, she prefers skirts and button-up blouses Family: Sister, Petunia, Parents, Elizabeth and Richard Friends: James, Sirius, Remus, formerly Severus, Mary, Marlene, and several others that she spends time with but doesn't consider super close friends. Enemies: All Slytherins, Death Eaters, and (unfortunately) Severus Religion: n/a Astrological Sign: Soundtrack: Sexual Orientation: Straight Relationship Status: Dating James Potter Past Relationships: Some flings through her 6th and early 7th year before she settled down with James.
Sample RP:
Going by herself. It was weird to think about it, and she wasn't completely sure why she was agreeing to it. They were in the middle of a war for pity's sake - and here she was, jetting off for a cruise.
Still, it seemed like a really good idea. Who couldn't use a vacation? Especially now that she was actually living with James, every day, all day, and she was becoming aware of his ... habits. Like leaving dirty socks laying about - she'd even found one draped over a lampshade. Then there was the matter of the fact he couldn't even make his own dinner. She understood it was more or less her place - ha-ha - to do these sorts of things, but it did get bloody annoying after a bit.
And just think how it would be once they were married and there was a child in the picture. It would be like taking care of two children. No, she thought she definitely deserved a break from it all.
Sample Journal Entry:
I have never in my life appreciated the quiet so much. No Sirius. No James. No demands. I do feel a bit guilty, of course - wondering what's happening back home. With the Order, with Voldemort. But here I am, and they can just do without me for a week.
It's rather nice here. I've never been on a cruise before and I wasn't sure what to expect, but it's nice. Everyone's very friendly and charming, and I look forward to just ... relaxing.
Pretty much anything. I would not mind at all if a Severus Snape were to show up. That would be keen. But yes, definitely up for anything, collaborating, etc.
